With just 58 Guest rooms we place an emphasis on service and ensuring personal attention to each of our guests whose comfort is paramount. After a day spent in the city, shopping and sightseeing, or exploring the ruggedness of Connemara, relax in the luxurious and elegant surroundings of the hotel.

The Westwood House Hotel is ideally equipped for the corporate visitor and is an ideal venue for conferences, meetings, training and banquets. The hotel also caters for weddings throughout the year and provides the perfect setting for that special day. Outside such occasions the WW is also an ideal choice for a weekend or midweek break.

Room Information

The Westwood boasts 58 elegantly-decorated en suite rooms - 44 superior and 14 deluxe rooms.

You can expect to enjoy individually-controlled air conditioning, locally-hand crafted furnishings, comfy duvets and quilted mattress toppers. Other in-room facilities include 26-inch LCD TV with music and movies on demand, Wi-Fi internet access via the TV, complimentary wired broadband internet access and heated bathroom mirrors, as well as the other listed amenities.

Superior rooms afford you even greater luxury with super-king-size beds, personal safes, bathrobes, slippers and complimentary mineral waters.

All rooms are serviced by lifts and the hotel has a number of purpose-built wheelchair accessible rooms. Non-smoking rooms are available on request (subject to availability).

Food and Beverage

Meridian Restaurant:
Dine fireside in the intimate Meridian Restaurant, which is consistently recognised for the quality of the dining experience it offers. Serving modern Irish cuisine, the menus are brought to you by a team of dedicated chefs. Menus are complimented by an eclectic wine list, offering you good value wines from around the world.
Dinner is available each evening until 22:00.

The Westwood Bar:
For a less formal evening, dine in or retire to the split-level Westwood Bar where you can mingle with guests and locals alike. The friendly staff, excellent drinks list and extensive bar menu ensure a relaxing and pleasant visit.
Food is served from 10:30 to 21:00 daily with an extensive Carvery Menu from 12:00 to 14:30. All major sporting occasions are shown on one of 2 large flat-screen TVs and entertainment is provided most weekends of the year.

Area Information

Located on the edge of Galway city in the University quarter, the hotel’s location on the Galway-Clifden Road allows easy access into the city and Connemara. Local attractions include the Galway Races and Oyster Festival.
